He was the son of Laverne (Smith) Thompson and the late Raymond S. Thompson Sr.; brother of Eva (Jim) Heidenfelder, of North Huntingdon; and uncle of Olivia and Irelande Heidenfelder. Also survived by loving companion, Corliss Brugh. Raymond was a member of West Wilmerding Volunteer Fire Department. He also was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church, where Mass was celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4. No visitation. Interment private. Arrangements by the JAMES F. KUTCH FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 433 Lincoln Highway, East McKeesport. Memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Home of Pittsburgh, 5324 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15224.
