Author: llinde3 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.thompson/18756.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi and I am sorry I cannot help you.My ancestors Thompson weren't the same ones as yours.Thompson is a common name and to me difficult to research esp.early on where records are few.My farthest back ancestor I can find is Benjamin Thompson m. to Mary Reel in Maryland in 1828.In 1830 Benj.and Mary were-per fed.census-living in Jefferson Co.Va(now, West Va.)They went on to move farther and farther west and bearing 12 children most on whom died early and my greatgranddad Benj.Franklin T who was their son.So they died in Mn. and are buried here.Sorry i cant help more.llinde3 Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
