His father, also Benjamin, was a son of the Bute Co Benjamin, eventually settling into what was to become Wilkes Co, Ga.,which was again divided into Hancock, Greene, and other counties. Benjamin wound up being in Hancock, and Zachariah in Greene. I believe they helped establish the Island Creek Baptist Church as well as others in the area. If you're able to locate him on a list, it would be very beneficial. Zachariah was probably born ca 1763-68, dying in 1796 or 97 before his father, leaving behind an unnamed spouse and children.
