That is what was listed on John Cleve's death certificate as was Jim B Thompson. Jim B I am sure was James but do not know what the B would stand for. It appears as if they all lived in Hahira in the middle to late 1800's thru 2000. John Cleve had a daughter named Minnie Louell Thompson and a son Edward Council Thompson. John Cleve was also married to Bessie Lee Thompson who died in her 60's from Diabetes related illnesses. They lived on a farm in Hahira.I am looking for anyone that knew any of these people, please let me know Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Author: michaelpthompson Surnames: Thompson Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.thompson/19660.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi Pam. I don't have any specific information for you,. but I can give you some hints on better ways to find out. First of all, you need to be a lot more specific in your request. A date range is very important. Did these people live in the 17th Century, the Twentieth, or what? Specific dates are best if you have them, but at least a general idea. That, coupled with the location you have, could narrow things down quite a bit. Thompson is a fairly common name, and so are Jim, John, and Mary, so narrowing it down with specifics is also helpful here. John Cleveland Thompson is a good example of this. Do you have any additional info on the others? For instance, what is Mary's maiden name (before she was a Thompson); this is often how she would be listed in family history records. Is Jim B. Thompson's name really James? It would be uncommon for him to be named Jim on a birth certificate or census records. Hettie may also be a nickname for Henrietta. The more specific you can get, the better. You might also check the geographic boards. Hahiram is in Lowndes County, and they have a mailing list at http://lists.rootsweb.ancestry.com/index/usa/GA/lowndes.html#GALOWNDE. There's also a web page at http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~galownde/ that might be able to help you. Hope this helps. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. D. Thompson - LaBelle, Missouri", which I'd like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo was taken in St. Louis, MO, and she looks to be about 22/23. I found Jessie and Audra D. Thompson in the LaBelle (Lewis Co.) 1910 census, showing they had been married one year. Missouri Marriages shows that Audra D. Thompson married 29 Nov 1908 to Jessie D. Haldeman. SSDI shows that Jessie Thompson, born 11 Aug 1884, died in 1976 in Kansas City, MO. Get back to me at margerice@prodigy.net if you are related to Jessie Halderman Thompson.
