Author: hagleym Surnames: Thompson, Goulding Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.thompson/2220.2385/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am also searching for the same Daniel Thompson... I have found a lot of conflicting information. From what I have gathered, his parents were "William Thompson" and "Susan (J, Jay, Jane) Goudling... However, after extensive searches on William and Susan I repeatedly find that they only had two children: Mary King and William Goulding Thompson... There is, however, a census from 1850 when Daniel was 32 that has Susan Jay (80yrs) living in his home. His children are also listed including John (A, Augusta, Augustus) who our lineage derives from. On another site I found information claiming that this same census reads that Susan Jane is his SISTER and not his Mother, but I am not sure if this is accurate... It would explain the fact that William and Susan only claimed two children... But unless she was his sister-in-law and Daniel is brother to William, there is no way this is the relation. I'm not sure if this helps, or only confuses you more, as it did me. We are on a wild go! ose chase! - Lauren Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I am looking for information regarding David Buzzy Thompson. Buzzy is my mother's brother. My mother was Nina Hope Thompson, daughter of David and Dora Sawyer. Mother lost contact with what was left of her family years ago since she had moved to Texas. She passed away in 1995 and my siblings and I are wanting to find out more about her family and especially her brother Buzzy and any family that Buzzy may have. I am working on the research through this website and have had some luck in other directions, just not with this part of the family. Just knowing David's middle name will help me so much. If I find anything that will help with your search, I will be sure and let you know.
