    1. [THOMPSON] Irby W. Thompson in Tennessee-1860 Census, Bradley Co, Tn.
    2. Wanda Ingram
    3. I am interested in knowing who the parents of Irby W. Thompson were. He is listed in the 1860 Census for Bradley County, Tn. His wife was Polly. He lived close to Richard and Martha Thompson. Irby was also in the Civil War on the Confederate side. He was with Rowan's 62nd. Mounted. There was also a William Thompson in the 62nd. Mounted with Irby. Was he Irby's brother? Could William have been the Richard shown in the 1860 Census living close to Irby and his first name was William rather than Richard? Any help will be appreciated. Can't find Irby on the 1870 census so he must have been killed during the war. Can't find Richard on the 1870 census either. Wanda Ingram

    1. [THOMPSON] Stewart/Phillips connection
    2. Peggy G.
    3. I am looking for any information on Mary R. Thompson b abt 1790 NC. There is a marriage record for her to Robert Stewart b abt 1790 in Edgecombe NC dated Jan 4 1809. There might be some connection to a Phillips family, maybe a previous marriage. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Our dna came back to a Phillips line instead of Stewart, but I have our lineage traced back thru my Stewart line to Edgecombe NC around this same time line. Thanks in advance. I'm looking for William (M?) Thompson born ca 1796 somewhere in KY. For some reason, he went to Putnam Co., IN in 1830 where he met and married Susannah Gough Fall, widow of Jesse Gough. The couple also lived in Butler, Preble and Clermont counties,Ohio before settling in Hamilton Co., In. They had 3 sons. One named Enoch who I think was named after Susannah's grandfather, one named William after his father and one named Henry? William was old enough to have married before he married Susannah but there was no mention of former children in his will. Can anyone tell me if he fits into the William Thompson/Betsy Commodes/Cummins/comments/Cummings family?
