By 1810 they were in the Germantown area of Bracken Co., KY. Sarah Berry Thompson was a sibling of Benjamin Berry, Enoch Berry, Reuben Berry, William Berry, Sr. Their names are all mentioned in an 1813/14 lawsuit filed in Mason Co., KY over ownership of a slave. My gr.gr.gr.grandmother, Elizabeth S. W. Berry, daughter of Benjamin & Lucy Wren Berry, was taken in by the Thompson's in King George Co., VA when she was 2 1/2 in 1783. The Thompson's brought Elizabeth to Mason Co., KY in 1788. In 1801 Elizabeth S. W. Berry married Nathaniel C. Harlan in Mason Co. I would like to find descendants of Zachariah & Sarah Berry Thompson to see if they have any information on the Wren, Berry, Fant or Thompson families of King George & Stafford Counties, Virginia that could help me locate parents for the Berry siblings. I am happy to share what I've found. Thank you! . Kathryn Mereness - email Mmer2000@aol.com Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Levi Myron Thompson was born Sept 8, 1862 in Ohio (I believe). I am having trouble confirming his parents. Either Richard or William....Levi resided in the Bettsville, Fremont, Sandusky Ohio area. Levi had a brother Ben, Joseph and Albert for sure and possibly others. He married a Josephine Furgison April 2, 1884 in Putnam county Ohio. My parents have the actual marriage certificate. Levi's death certificate states "Wm Thompson" as father. I can't find any census's with Levi and father named William. Anyways....I just wonder if my Levi is a relative of your Levi. She married John W. Carter of Earlton, Kansas. Their children are Clara Esther Carter, Charley Elmer Carter, Ida and Bernice Carter. Charlotte also had 2 children from a previous relationship (she may have not been married)Willie and James Barkes or Barker born in Missouri and Kansas. It states in Census records that her parents were born in Virginia and Tennessee. I found a Charlotte Thompson with Alfred Thompson and wife Mary in 1860 Census in Illinois (but it states parents were born in Illinois.) However, I did find an Alfred Thompson born in Virginia with wife Julia born in Tennessee (in 1850 Census), but it has no mention of Charlotte in the Census. Does anyone have any information on Charlotte or who may be her parents? Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
