Also have other documents to share. So glad to have found more pieces to the family history. Samuel Schleich I believe worked on the roads. I believe Fred became a vet? Was Paul a doctor? Would love to hear more about Paul. All I know is the parents moved to Columbus to be near him at Ohio State when they both fell ill and died. Did Paul graduate from Circleville High School? We are unsure where in Circleville the family lived, because they previously lived out in the country near Williamsport. I am in central Ohio. Author: tranderson03 Surnames: Thompson, Dorman, Rainey Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.thompson/16478.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am also trying to find more information about Thomas Thompson and Elizabeth Rowland (our family has it spelled with a "w"). He is also my GGG Grandfather. One son was named Andrew Lamar Thompson and he was born in Vicksburg MS on 6 Dec 1839 while the family was on the way to Texas. Don't know about three of their children being born in Vicksbury. Another son was Thomas Jefferson Thompson who was born in Madisonville TX in 1852. He married Mary Ann Eliza Collier in 1850. Their daughter Laura Ada Thompson (went by Ada) married James Henry Dormam in 1893. He died in 1899 and left her with three sons, one of whom was my maternal grandfather John Thomas Dorman who married Lena Mae Miller in 1920. My mother, Opal Louise Dorman (Rainey) was born in Albany, Tx in 1922 and I, Tonya Alece Rainey Anderson, was born in Houston in 1951, where I still live. I'm trying to find a document linking Thomas Jefferson Thompson to Thomas Thompson. I have a copy of Thomas Thompson's lan! d grant dated 1845 granting him 640 acres in Montgomery County TX. I can prove my lineage back to Thomas Jefferson Thompson but need a link from TJ to Thomas in order to be admitted into the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. I have other family information if you are interested. But if you could steer me in the direction to get the documentation I need, I'd be so grateful. Thanks Tonya Anderson Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Thompson who married Bridget ? both born in Ireland as both their parents were also. They had a daughter names Nancy P "Babe" Thompson born in Edmonson county, KY about 1854. She married my ggggrandfather Ichabod/Ichabor P Wood. We are trying to find a census showing the names of Nancy Thompson and Ichabod P Wood's Children. Anyone have any information on these? We believe that the children may be John C Wood/Woods, William C. "Billy" Wood. These boys would have been born between 1880 and 1885. William was born at Dog Creek, Hart county, KY. Both these boys signed up for military even though they were probably too old in 1917/1918. They married sisters, Cora and Annie Kessinger, daughters of Solomon Kessinger III. The three counties I would look for all of these would be in Edmonson, Hart and Grayson counties in KY. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
