There are approximately 40 blacks in the household. The first 4 blacks, Peter James, Dicey James, William James and Peter James are my ancestors. I believe they probably were Thomas's slaves before the war and were still there as sharecroppers in the 1870s. Also, he had a brother named Kenneth Walter Thompson (who went by Kelly) and I'm stuck on finding his kin. I know he had a son named Steven, but my grandfather would like to know if he had any boys. My grandpa had two boys, but they did not have boys, so technically our Thompson lines dies. Except I did name my boys Thompson. I know it's out of social standards, but they are no less Thompson than a boy cousin's kids would have been, so I think it's ok. :0) Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
