I thought I have been paying a fee to use a search board for "help" in finding long lost relatives...not a dart board for hurling insults!? As far as my response to the other post that upset you, I simply said "AMEN" in agreement to the implication that maybe folks who didn't have any helpful information to offer in our individual quest for past relatives, just need to skip over our post, that's all! I'm am profoundly SORRY if you took personal offense to my comment - it wasn't intended! My true intention was to make use of your advice and I started a new line of questioning. Have a good day. I've "rescued" three old photographs of Ella BARRETT. The first was taken at the O'Neill Studio in Wheeling, West Virginia sometime in the 1890's. Ella appears to be in her teens at the time this photograph was taken. The second photograph does not include a studio or location but also appears to have been taken in the 1890's. This second photograph includes the names "Burnette and Lent" along with reference to "Albion, NY" on the back of the photograph. Ella appears to be in her teens or 20's in the second photograph. The third photograph of Ella BARRETT was taken at the C. H. Howes Studio in Ithaca, NY. The photograph also appears to have been taken in the 1890' with Ella likely in her 20's at the time. Thanks to a BARRETT Family Researcher I was able to gather the following information regarding Ella and her family: Ellen "Ella" Elizabeth BARRETT was b. about 1881, the daughter of James Andrew Howe BARRETT and Margaret L. THOMPSON. Ella married Ben T. GILES and together they had two children, Marvin Thomas and Lolene Bazelle GILES, born in 1901 and 1904 respectively. Lolene married George EADS in 1930 and son Marvin married Teresa? I am hoping to locate someone from this family so that the photographs can be returned to the care of her family. If you are a member of this BARRETT Family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

Lydia Thompson--parents unknown to me. Mary Ann and Lydia are "cousins" according to family info. At what level--I dunno--. Mary Ann Thompson married Joseph Bowers. They begat Mary "Mollie" Catherine Bowers who married George Mize (son of John and Eleanor (Prutsman) Mize in Edgar County, Illinois, 1882. Lydia married William Long (they were about 10 yrs older than George & Mollie. Mollie Mize died soon after the birth of their first child, Edward, abt Summer of 1886. Ed was abt 9 mo old at that time. George took him to Lydia and William to raise because Mollie asked him to do so on her death bed as they were related (cousins?). The Longs did raise Ed in Madison Cty, AR. We have been unable to connect these cousins of Lydia and Mollie (she uses that name on marriage cert to George). When she died they were in MO near more of her relatives. Her burial date and place has not been found. Hoping it is in some researcher's Bible. Have searched the MO birth and death records online. No record of Ed's birth nor Mollie's death. Also, searched Find A Grave for her burial in MO. Thanks for any clues/crumbs/bits of info or suggestions anyone might provide. His Wife and All the Children are listed on the Federal Census except his oldest Child, A.J. Thompson. The 1850 Census reports him being born in SC and his wife Catherine being born in NC. All children are shown born in NC except for the youngest child, Ransom Thompson, who was born in Forsyth County, GA in 1846. There was one marriage from this family out of Forsyth County, GA in 1853. Martin's daughter, Sophronia Thompson, married Jesse (Jessie) Webb BOOK C; PAGE 23 FORSYTH COUNTY GEORGIA RECORDS, 08 Dec 1853. Martin Thompson Sold his land in Forsyth County, GA before 1860 and moved to Tucker, GA where the family moved as well and settled in Stone Mountain, DeKalb County, GA. ANY information on this Family (any member) would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. We have hit a brick wall on information pertaining to Forsyth County, GA or MARTIN and CATHERINE's Origins prior to 1841.
