I'm interested in any info about Richard Thomson who married Elizabeth Key (dau. of Martin Key and Elizabeth Burford) in Louisa Co., VA before 1757. Richard and Elizabeth left Louisa Co. by 1774, destination unknown. Possible father of Richard is Thomas Thomson who died between 22 Apr 1774 and 10 Oct 1774 in Louisa Co., VA. This supposition is based on Thomas's statment in his will that his plantation was "known by name as Burford's, etc...", Elizabeth Key's mother was a Burford. Richard appeared on Louisa Co. records as late as 1765 when he received part of Elizabeth's Burford Key's estate "in right of his wife." Possible siblings of Richard named in Thomas's will: Jeremiah, William, Nathan, Patience, Ursley, Susanna, Mourning and Elizabeth. Phil
