John Hardin m. Catherine Marr). The Pain family is likely the family of Elizabeth Paine married "Big John" Hardin August 04, 1794. Big John is the son of Mark Hardin m. Anne Hartley, grandson of Major John Hardin and Catherine Marr, cousin to Mary Hardin who married Owen Thomas. Sarah Hardin is likely the daughter of Martin Hardin who married her cousin Ben Hardin Sr., son of Major John Hardin (Mary Hardin Thomas's brother). Captain John Hardin is likely the son of Major John Hardin m. Catherine Marr.
