    1. [THOMAS] Sarah b 1772-80 PA, prnts: Moses THOMAS b 1750 CT, Abigail TYLER b 1753 CT

    3. Does anyone know this THOMAS line? Moses was son of Moses b 1720 and Sarah HORTON b 1722, both CT; Moses was scalped and died, Sarah remarried. Historically that piece of PA was CT (unless you thought it was William Penn's). Moses 1750 CT d 1779 NY, Battle of Minisink. He, father and brothers built mills on the Delaware River - both sides, what would later be Wayne Co PA and Sullivan and Orange Co, NY - probably sawmills but there was a grist mill. Their children were Ruth, Hannah, Moses 3rd and Sarah. His widow Abigail also remarried. http://www.damascustwp.org/briefhistory.html Now, it is Sarah who drew my interest to this family. I've found records online that she'd married Reuben DECKER b 1775 Minisink NY, son of Solomon Decker and Mary Polly Thomas (daughter of Aaron). Another place I found a mention they had 3 daughters and 3 sons. But I can't find them on census 1800 or later. Did Reuben die young also, or am I an unlucky hunter, so far? I went looking for Sarah because of looking for a Sallie/Sarah Thomas born about that time, and found that Sarah's sister Ruth was right amid all my ancestors at Chemung (at that time the northern part of Tioga) County NY, wife of Abraham BARNES. A Sallie THOMAS and my ancestor widower John HILL b 1759 NY married by 1st decade 1800s. All those people migrated from down on the Delaware River around 1800ish. Do any of you have a line on this THOMAS family, please? Kaye in Texas __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? SBC Yahoo! DSL - Now only $29.95 per month! http://sbc.yahoo.com
