Barb, I do have the 1850 Sullivan County, TN census that lists a George Thomas age 26, Barbary age 19, Ellen age 1 and Robt age 23. It shows George Thomas as a "ditcher". I am not positive that these are the same men and I am also trying to figure out if he is the same George Thomas that moves to Bath County, KY before 1860 and marries a Polly Kendrick. If anyone has any information on this line, I would really appreciate it!
