Hi Tara, Boy, these might be the same George and Robert that were released from prison. To prison in 1843 and released in 1846. Since they are on the 1850 Sullivan Co census seems a good clue. George b. c 1824 would have been 19 or 20 when send to prison, if him. Robert b. c 1827 would have been only 16 or 17. Did they send people to prison that young back then? You don't think that Barbery is his wife and Ellen his daughter? Or do you think Barbery might have died? Does the George in the Kentucky information you have show a daughter, Ellen? Do you have access to the 1840 Sullivan Co. census that might show George and Robert with one of the Thomas families? What other Thomas families are living around them in 1850 census? The George Thomas I am wondering about married Julia Williot/Whiliot I believe in Sullivan Co. Then moved to Monroe Co., TN. George might have died around this time in 1840's and left Julia a widow, and she moves into Bradley Co., where one of her sons, Richard lives. I have to go find my information on this George Thomas. There is also the George Slater Thomas who is suppose to be from Sullivan Co. too. Who the above George and Robert Thomas are related to, I don't know. I hope someone can help on sorting this out. Barb -----Original Message----- From: Tara Frierson [mailto:[email protected]] Barb, I do have the 1850 Sullivan County, TN census that lists a George Thomas age 26, Barbary age 19, Ellen age 1 and Robt age 23. It shows George Thomas as a "ditcher". I am not positive that these are the same men and I am also trying to figure out if he is the same George Thomas that moves to Bath County, KY before 1860 and marries a Polly Kendrick. If anyone has any information on this line, I would really appreciate it!
