I found my information in Andrew Jackson Thomas's obit. in the New Paris Mirror, New Paris, Ohio It states that he was born Feb 28, 1815 in Tyler County. Western Virginia and was the youngest of thirteen children, the son of Ellis and Phoebe Thomas. In 1834 he married Ann P. Webster. They were married for 56 years. He died Feb. 10, 1891 in Preble County, Ohio. Hope some one else has him in their line too. Before 1880 is where I'm having trouble at the moment, in regard to the possibility of Evan Thomas being the father of my William Bailor Thomas. There was speculation that he probably was, but as yet, not enough documentation has been found to substantiate it. I'm in the process of doing a county by county, township by township search of the Tennessee censuses for the decades of 1860 and 1870 located on Ancestry.com. If anyone else is interested in what sources I do have for this particular Thomas family line, let me know and I'll be happy to share what I can. I'm still in the process of trying to organize it and put it in a GEDCOM file as I find the time. Again, that's for taking the time to respond and share.
