That is really interesting, Sam. I did not realize that there were TWO EVAN THOMASes who were original immigrants from Wales. One of the fact that cause me to keep looking at Evan THOMAS as a 4-gr-grandfather is the fact that the Newberry County South Carolina THOMAS"S continue to use the name Evan in their lines. My data base has the following note for Isaac: Isaac Thomas died abt. 1803. His wife, Mary and sons, Nehemiah, Evan, Abel, Edward and John removed with their mother to Ohio. Son, William and his wife Sarah (Pemberton) removed to Ohio a bit later. and And it is crazy not to type up the family to which Prudence seems to > belong: (this is from the birth and death records of Bush River MM in Hinshaw) > > Thomas, Isaac II > m. Mary > ch: Edward b. 1761, Isaac b. 1763 > John b. 1766, Abel b. 1768 > Mary b. 1771, Elizabeth b. 1773 > Evan b. 1775, Nehemiah b. 1777 > Wm b. 1779 > Prudence and Sarah b. 1781 (twins) and certainly it is possible that Isaac, Edward, Timothy, and Nehemiah Thomas were not related....but in the last quarter of the 1700's they are found living next door or at most a few miles down the road in Newberry County. It is possible that my Sarah Thomas McKinsey is not related to these Thomas men....but she is living next door to Nehemiah and just down the road from the other three. I just feel so strongly that the connection is there, and it is possible that no proof will ever surface....but I do have some hope that I will connect Sarah to the Edward I find first near Hopewell then in Newberry County and then in North Carolina.
