Laertius (Morris Laertes) b. 1810 VA. md Elizabeth ?. 7 children James b 1838 OH William b. 1840 OH Morris L. b 1842 OH John W. b 1844 OH Younger Taylor b 1849/50 IN Laertes moved to IN and is found in Hancock Co. Worth Twp, 1850 census, and is found in Jasper Co. Jane Twp in 1860. Cadwell b 1815 OH md Suannah Andrews , possibly 8 children. John Sanford Younger, b 1849 Keokuk Co. IA James Dayton b 1855 Keokuk Co. IA Jacob b. 1856 OH (Ross or Scioto Co. ?) William Henry Harrison b 1863 Scioto Co. OH Cadwell did a lot of moving. He went to IA with or soon after Younger. He went back to OH. Then he moved to KA where he d 1898 Neosho Co. Susannah is presumed to have died on that trip, she is buried in MO. Benjamin b 1830 Ross Co. OH, d 1922 Keokuk Co. IA. Md Adeline Cooley. I have nothing on Benjamin’s children. His nephew, Joseph Short, son of Leantha Thomas and Andrew Short, moved from Clarke Co IA to Keokuk and is found in the 1880 census.
