I have a bunch of Thomas marriages in various counties in Alabama that were sent to me, plus a number of Amanda Thomas marriages. Apparently, there were quite a few Amanda Thomases in Alabama way back. Even I had one, as my great grandmother on my mother's side was an Amanda M. Thomas, born in about 1833/34 in Harris Co., GA. Actually, she was Amanda M. Brown before marriage. But after her husband, John Q. Thomas' death in 1864, I was wondering if she ever got remarried; thus, the reason for my having been sent a list of Amanda Thomas marriages.
