Hello all. I have a Carrol Thomas married to a Nancy Pendleton, both from TN. They are found in the 1870 Census for Spring Creek, Howell County, Missouri. Polly Pendleton, in the 1870 census that was living with them, states that she was born in PA. I think that Polly was probably Nancy's mother, as she was 69 and Nancy was 39. However, I do not know how the Dillard Pendleton that was 9 years old that lived with the Thomas's was related to them. The 1880 Census for South Fork, Howell County, Missouri, states that Carrol's mother and father were born in Virginia. It states that Nancy Pendleton's father was born in TN.
