I know there are millions of Thomas families, and after having been a member of the Thomas List for a couple of years, other than the messages I have put on about my own family, I have never seen anything close to them. Here it is once again, and I hope someone recognizes this family. Thank you. Albert James Thomas, my great grandfather, was born in Cheddar, Somerset, England on 1 September 1866. He married Louisa Maria Coombe in 1888, and she was from the Bath area. I have been told Albert James Thomas' parents were Elizabeth (no surname yet) and James Thomas. James was apparently from Cheddar and possibly Elizabeth was of Wedmore. James Thomas died about 1866. Elizabeth remarried to George Evans Jr. I believe Albert James Thomas had a brother named Arthur, born in 1863, who married a Miss King. Eventually Albert James Thomas and his wife, Louisa Maria Coombe, came to Cayuga County, NY, and had one daughter, Jennie Leonora - - my grandmother, b. in 1889. Albert James died in 1903, and Louis Maria died in 1907 They are buried in Owasco Rural Cemetery, Cayuga County, NY.
