Hi Wayne, I think the answer to that is that we don't know. There could be a connection between your line and mine, for instance. I have been unable to learn anything earlier than my George Thomas b. 1781 in (probably) upper east Tenn. It isn't a great stretch to guess that George's family may have been in Virginia, but I've got nothing to direct me to any particular family or any particular area of VA. I think this is the very thing that makes the testing helpful. We will hopefully find connections between researched lines that no one previously suspected were related.
