One of Michael Thomas' children, Abraham, was a scout with Daniel Boone and quite a few of his siblings made the trip to Kentucky with the group of people that settled Boonesboro and the surrounding area. Abraham (my g-g-g-g-great-grandfather) and Boone and others then started scouting out the area that ended up being Ohio (some accounts say that Abraham was the first white man to set foot on the land that became Cincinnatti) and Abraham and others of his family ended up settling in what ended up being Miami County in Ohio. I've been very lucky in that, because of the interest in the Germanna colonies and the fact that Michael Thomas' 25 (!!!!) children were very involved in a lot of the historical happenings of the day, this line has been researched a lot and there are lots of things out there, in print and on the 'net, about the different folks in the family. I am heading to Miami County in the next couple of weeks to visit the Thomas family cemetery in Troy, Ohio. Abraham and his wife and quite a few other relatives are buried there. Tracey
