Is there anyone out there that is familiar with these terms?? My mother referred to the two Thomas lines in Kentucky in this manner. However, I could not get her to go into any detail. My guess is that it might go back to Christopher Columbus Thomas and his cousin William Robert Thomas, but why? Any information appreciated! Virginia in Seattle

Do all of the Thomas clan now live in the USA? That's the way it appears to be from the look of the list postings. I am still a Thomas, and looking for ancestors of Ernest Thomas of West Grimstead in Wiltshire and his wife Beatrice Annie House b1883, and/or their parents, George Thomas b1848 Whaddon, Wiltshire and wife Martha Mussell b1848 of West Grimstead.
