There is a lot of traffic about this location thing. I have to agree with the sender, where he is from now is not relevant, nor perhaps even where his most recent ancestors are from, S. Africa. I think what everyone is trying to get at is better put like this - tell us anything you know about the locations of the furthest back ancestor - where they lived or died. That is what is really needed, so we can see if we have anyone in that vicinity to link him up with.
