I'm just trying to find out if I have any present-day "cousins" out there who are related or descend, rather, from any of the following Thomases: Stephen A. Thomas and wife Jane H. Webb Stephen Calvin Thomas - b. about 1832, m. Martha Ann Lee John Q. Thomas (my great grandfather, born in about 1833 in Georgia), m. Amanda M. Brown, my great grandmother Emily Catherine Thomas - b. 1836, m. 1) William Henry Gillespie, 2) David Anderson Gillespie Mary Russell Thomas - b. about 1837, m. Robert J. Evans, 2) Archibald M. Payton (Archie) James F. Thomas - b. about 1841, m. Eliza Jane Gillespie Francis M. Thomas - b. 1843, m. Zachariah Taylor Coker Amanda M. Thomas - b. about 1845, m. John G. Payton Madison Monroe Thomas - b. about 1847, m. Mary Elizabeth Gillespie I think most of the marriages took place in Coosa Co., Alabama, however, the earlier ones could have taken place in Harris Co., Georgia, as that's where moved from.
