    3. Hi Tom No no-one has done a DNA test and the only THOMAS that I know of (descendant still baring the name) was a fe-male who died recently. She had no descendants. I can see if I can find out if there are any left if you like, as I am still in contact with members of the WATTERS clan (who had been still in touch with some of the THOMAS line) I am more than willing to share info with you - though I am not certain that my line goes back far enough. My WATTERS family goes back to about 1720 and THOMAS line to 1765 (where I have hit a brick wall) Emma Monmouth

    3. Emma, I would like to see if you could find a living male from the Thomas or Watters line for me to contact. I am thinking that DNA matching may be the only way to break through the brick wall I seem to have hit. As far as sharing notes, my information says that Rees Thomas had three children born in Pembroke with his wife Catherine. These were Mary Thomas, b. 1719; James Thomas, b. 1720 and Margaret Thomas, b. 1723. Rees' next child with Catherine, named John, b. 1725 was reputedly born in Virginia. (This seems odd to me.) Also I have seen a family tree online claiming that Mary Thomas was wed to an Evan Jenkins in Pembroke. James Thomas is shown in land and other records later in Virginia. Hopefully something here strikes a chord. Please let me know what you hear from others in the Watters or Thomas clan.
