If my memory is correct, the topic of books that relate the genealogy and family history of various groups of people with the Thomas surname has been covered fairly extensively before on this List. Those of you who are looking for such books might want to search the Ancestry.com/Roots Message Boards, etc. for much of the information that you are seeking. I think you will find out more about such books more quickly from some of the archived notes than waiting for people to respond to new postings. The book mentioned about Thomas family in MD may be "Thomas Family of Talbot County, Maryland and Allied Families" by Richard Henry Spencer (1914). Prior messages have also discussed whether there are some errors in Spencer's book. There have been similar online discussions about any number of Thomas-related books, so Spencer wasn't being singled out for criticism. I don't remember with absolute certainty, but Spencer's book and perhaps others are available via the online service HeritageQuest. Just a suggestion. Melissa F.
