There may or may not be a direct descendant of your James Thomas on the website, but also consider if there might be a participant who is a direct descendent of a collateral to James (James' brother, James' paternal uncle, etc.) and/or a direct descendant of an ancestor of James' (other than through James). The object is to match DNA with people you do not currently know about in hopes that they have a documented paper trail that will help you and your paper trail might help them.
