    3. Clifford, I did see all of those posts but haven't answered any of them. They all look like they might fit into our THOMASES somehow, but I can't figure out how. It is like a whole slew of Thomases took off from South Carolina and wound up in different parts of Georgia and Alabama. These posts are one of the big reasons I continue to think our THOMASES stopped in Georgia on their way to Alabama, Mississippi, and finally Texas. There's a bunch of towns, communities, and burgs enroute named Thomasville, Thomaston, Thomas Crossroads, Thomas and many more. I tend to think that there were many Thomas clans that traveled the same migration pattern and who occupied many abandoned THOMAS farms along the way. I feel like they all knew each other or about each other and kept passing the land along until they all reached their eventual destinations. I have been studying the ways of the Scottish emigrants of North Carolina. The above description is very indicative of their clannish behavior. I believe that our Thomas line is Scotch. I even see some scottish ways in our own immediate Thomas line, still today. In reference to your question, "Have I e-mailed them?".......the answer is "no". I don't really know what to ask them or exactly where to go with the proper questioning. I'd love for you to take the lead if you'd like. So far, I haven't seen anything but names and guesses about any relationship. But then, that's all I have to offer them in return. Maybe you can strike up a topic that would take us somewhere. By the way, I think that the Jordans & Godwins that always travelled with our Thomases were Scottish too. Let me know what you might learn from these posters. Thanks!
