Goldie, I am leaving in a few minutes for Bible Study. I will try to write more to you tomorrow. I am descended from Nathaniel/Nathan Thomas of Newberry South Carolina through his son David Thomas, next in birth after Francis Marion. All of the children migrated to south Giles County Tennessee and north Limestone County Alabama about 1835. Your Francis Marion settled in Alabama. I too think that Nathan descended from the Tristram line in Talbot Maryland but have not been able to prove it I will try to write more tomorrow. Jim Thomas. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Goldie Williams" <goldiew@centurytel.net> To: <thomas@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, May 30, 2007 4:23 PM Subject: [THOMAS] Missouri Thomas & Tennessee Thomas & Nathaniel Thomas >I am a descendant of the very elusive Nathaniel Thomas from SC... sometimes >I think he must have been dropped from a flying saucer....my grandmother >was the daughter of William Robert Thomas who was the son of William >Francis Thomas who was the son of Francis Marion Thomas...and Francis >Marion was the son of Nathaniel Thomas, the one born about 1751-1761 and >was married to Mary ..last name unknown..... > > Anyone who has tried to find who spawned old Nathaniel knows how > frustrating it can be....
