    1. [THOMAS] German Thomas Family
    2. Just got back from the Germanna reunion and had 3 outstanding events. One -- I met a Thomas cousin who I did not know about until DNA testing "introduced" us. His Thomas patriarch and mine were brothers in the early 1700's Culpeper Co., VA. His line went to NC and mine went to KY Two -- met another Thomas cousin whose ancestor and mine were brothers in Ohio in the late 1700's. Her line was through his daughter and you know how easy it is to "lose" female lines Three-- Sat at the table and visited with a SCHEIBLE descendant. When I got home, I realized that her ancestor was possibly a sponsor at a baptism for one of my family in the early 1700s in Germany "On 17 April 1712 there was born and baptized on the same day the baby Hanss Wendel Thoma, The parents were Johann Thoma and Anna Maria (who we know was born Blankenbuehler.) The sponsors at this baptism were Hanss Wendel Neideck of Oberoewisheim and Maria Eleonora the wife of Hanss Jerg Schaiblin. The Schaiblins were Germanna immigrants in 1717." John and Anna Maria were the immigrants for all the German Thomas family in Culpeper Co., VA I'm am checking with the Germanna experts about Schaiblin versus Scheible. Pretty neat, huh. Take care.
