What a coincidence I saw your e-mail and just found the following marriage annoucement for Emily Thomas Allen (daughter of Joseph C. & Catherine (Pency)(Thomas) Allen) and Joseph Mikell. Catherine (Pency) was the daughter of Riley T. & Emily Thomas. Mrs. Emily Allen-Powell and Mr. Joe Mikell were happily married by Judge H.G Gibson Thursday [April 7, 1927] of last week. Mrs. Mikell has lived in Folkston practically all of her life and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Alien. They are located in rooms in Mrs. E. H. Wright's residence. Source: Charlton County Herald. Folkston, GA April 14, 1927. Emily Thomas Allen first married Powell (no other information on him) and they had a son Clifford Windell Powell. She married Joseph Mikell and the had a son Joseph A. (Pat) Mikell, Jr. Do not have any more information on either of her sons. Is this Joseph Mikell part of your lineage?
