Hi all. I'm starting to really dig into my Thomas root. It seems that I've hit a bit of a brick wall with Aaron (Obediah?) THOMAS (1776-1883). I believe he lived in Burke County, NC and married Elizabeth Hunsaker (various spellings). If anyone else is researching this line I'd love to compare notes. Thanks. --Shannon

I also have this branch, as my 3rd great-grandparents are Joseph H. THOMAS (1818-1881) and Elizabeth HOOD (1820-1886). Joseph H. THOMAS is said to be the son of Joseph "Jose" G. THOMAS (b. 1798 to Aaron and Elizabeth Hunsaker), also seen as Joseph H. THOMAS, Sr. Joseph H. THOMAS (Jr) married Elizabeth HOOD in Union Co., GA and then moved on to Benton Co., AR, in 1851. They are buried on the homestead there (their memorials are at www.findagrave.com<about:blank>). I have notes from other researchers that say Joseph "Jose" G. (Sr.) THOMAS removed to Springfield, MO and died there. I have not located anything to support this, so I don't know. I've also seen some research that says he died in Union Co., GA. I know he was actually in Benton Co., AR after 1851 (per Goodspeed's and the census), but have no idea if he went back to GA or not. If anyone happens to know what happened to Joseph H. THOMAS' father, I'd really appreciate the help.
