    3. Last I had heard there was a cousin in Florida who has a copy of it. Would be nice in this technological age to get copies made... would be willing to pay the costs if someone has a copy. You might luck out and locate one in a library that has gotten the research of a family member at their death, but I doubt it. Cousin Peggy Thomas Young did at one time have her own book that she did for family members that was based on his work. His information is long out dated and most Thomas researchers have started with his leads and branched out from there so it is safe to say that his research does not contain any forgotten leads. The Silver Family Archives in Kona, NC has copies of the large charts that I think you are talking about - he may have done a book, but I have never seen one. It is my understanding that each of these Monroe Thomas documents were made for each of the individual family members and the he did one for the Silver side and one for the Thomas side. They are usually stored rolled up due to their size. I have never seen anything but copies. The archives will be open in July during the Silver Reunion the 4th Sunday of July and the Saturday before - we express it that way because the date is picked from the 4th Sunday and we do a Genealogy Day on the Saturday before. I usually go up on Tuesday or Wednesday of that week and prepare the church. The reunion is the Silver Family Reunion, but if a person researches in Mitchell County, NC or Yancey County, NC then they probably also have Silver family members so over the years we have used this reunion as a time for all of the different family members to get together. It is also the same time as the Decoration Day for the Thomas Family Cemetery that John Mack Thomas and Margaret Alice Parker Thomas are buried. Hope that helps as to the document you are in search of finding. Most of the modern day family members have the information and have never seen the real document.
