Looking to locate SIM---SIMS----SEMIN---SIMON and other spellings of Sim Thomas who married Matilda Sullivan 21 Nov 1836 date on record in Blount Co, Alabama. From the 1850 Benton Co, Ala census record I find Sim Thomas as being deaf and dumb. and they had these children::::: Delila E. b/abt1839 Ala Jessty G. b/abt1841 Ala Mary Ann C. b/abt 1846 Ala Jane Ann b/abt1846 Ala Elizabeth b/abt1850 Ala Matilda Sullivan parents were Joel and Deliah Sullivan, so the child Delila name could be spelled several ways. The name Jessty I have no idea what this name is. I have been told thay they think Sim Thomas parents were Wiley A. Thomas and Rebecca Humphries. I have no idea. I find a Meml Thomas family in Benton Co, Ala census a/40 b/Ga who ius deaf and dumb also. This seems strange to me and make me wonder if this Meml and Sim were not very close kin. CAN ANYONE HELP.
