Louisa Brewer There was a Henry Thomas b. about 1820 the son of Aaron and Elizabeth Hunsucker Thomas who came to Georgia and probably served in the CW - he died in about 1895 in Fannin County GA... which is the county below Union. He would have been an uncle to James. Leslie Thomas V.P. He was born in North Carolina October, 1832 according to his Civil War Records. Also, there was a Henry Thomas joined the Confederate Army in Union County, GA and I believe he may be related to my James S. Thomas, because my grandfather's name is Albert Henry Thomas. I believe he descends from Aaron Thomas. I have been unable to place him in a family in the 1850 census. I have been told he maybe the son of Hosea Thomas. I would appreciate any information that anyone could give me. Thanks. Davie Williams **************Ideas to please picky eaters. Watch video on AOL Living. 3. I am feeling so left out with all you THOMAS descendants in the south. Is no one looking for my THOMASES? My gggrandfather William THOMAS was born abt 1810 in Connecticut; married Eunice CUMMINGS 2 May 1841, Litchfield, CT. The first 6 of their children were all born in CT: George W. THOMAS (my ggrandfather) b. abt 1843 William R. THOMAS, b abt 1844 Henry THOMAS, b abt 1846 Charles E. THOMAS, b abt 1850 Sarah THOMAS, b abt 1851 John J THOMAS, b abt 1856 Ella THOMAS, b abt 1860 in Illinois Elsie THOMAS, b abt 1880, CT (this looks a little suspicious - census says Elsie b CT, but they were living in MI 1880) Do these names and dates resonate with any one out there? I am, of course, particularly interested in my great grandfather George--where he died after living in IA in the 1880s--and more about the early days and first marriage of his daughter, my grandmother Cora Ann, b 1881, IA. Her sisters were Minny Mae THOMAS, b abt 1873, MI, and sister Mable, b 1877, IL. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Kathleen VH
