I have been thinking about my Thomas line again after having put them on a back burner for several years. My first documented Thomas is Sarah Thomas McKinsey who died in Newberry County, SC probably about 1809. I am getting ready to go to Newberry County for a Homecoming Event for the Bush River Monthly Meeting Cemetery the weekend of May 16th. I would like to chat again with anyone who had Thomas's in this area in the late 1700's in preparation for research that I hope to do while I am there. I believe that this family moved to Ohio with the mass exodus or the Quakers out of the south in the first decade of the 1800's. It is my gut feeling that this Thomas line is descended from the Thomas line that we find at Hopewell MM a generation or two earlier.
