Hi List members, I'm sick that someone would use this information this way to pad their pockets. The IGI is available at all Family History Centers of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for FREE. Everyone is welcome to come in and browse. There are roughly 350 million names on the IGI and about 325 million names on the Ancestral File available to you. All you have to do is locate an LDS church near you and see if there is a FHC (family history center) phone number. Call first before going because hours are varied and limited. If there is no FHC mentioned call the church on Sunday thereby finding someone to answer your questions re: location of nearest center. One other thing, the FHC near you has access to 2 million microfilm and millions of microfiche pertaining to vital records all over the world. They are a branch of the Salt Lake City Family History Library. The librarians are volunteers and more than happy to assist you. If they don't know the answer, they'll find out. Best of luck in your search. Jan <chuckles@isserv.net>
