"The book called DAVID THOMAS AND HIS DESCENDANTS, by Rolland S. Thomas is about the descendants of David THOMAS who married Margaret LUCAS in 1746. David was a native Welshman who came to America in the early 1730s, and landed in the area now known as the State of New Jersey. David and Margaret are stated to have had only a son, David THOMAS, who married Mary Ann GRIMES. This David also seemed to remein in New Jersey, because he joined the New Jersey Minutemen and served in New Jersey."
