I want to thank all of you who responded to Cuyahoga County my marriage record question. I was overwhelmed with the amount of help I received. Many of you just wrote letters of encouragement and congratulations. When I first started this my sister warned me that genealogy people are the nicest people you will ever encounter. Well, that was the understatement of the century!! I even had one women offer to get a copy of the certificate for me that day! It arrived in my mail box this morning! I am honored to be a part of such a wonderful group of people. Finally to Melanie; I pray someday you will find a box full of old papers just to fill in the branches on your tree! I admit it, I am VERY BLESSED that my mother in law is a pack rat. I have some original German traveling papers dating back to 1803. Unfortunately, I can't read a word of German and the lettering is difficult to translate into modern lettering.Someday I hope to find someone who can help me with it, but for now that branch of the family tree lies dormant. My goal for this next year is to go through the huge box of photos my mother in law has and label them so if anything happens to her we'll know which ones are family and which are not.
