Woody on November 20, 1847 in Nelson Co. Va. with Cornelious Thomas as the bondsman . Margaret Woody was born in Albermarle Co. Va. John W. Thomas occupation was a Farmer and a Boatsman . His son was Boat Captain in 1870. John W. appears in the Nelson Co. Census 1850, 1860, &1870 and he recieved an 1812 War Pension. Pension statesments attested to by C. J. Thomas & Norborne M. Thomas.
