>From latest to earliest my surname connections to Thomas are: Patrick (IA, my grandparents b. 1880s); Betts (IA,OH and KY, VA b. 1840s); Sprague, Hannah (OH b. 1825); and Sprague, Sarah, b. about 1790. The earlist I have is Charles Thomas (supposedly born in VA and married and died in Washington Co.,OH) who married Sarah Sprague of OH in 1810, and had ancestors from MA, Sarah and Hannah were distant cousins.
