I was going through some old files on my computer and turned up your offer to seach the Roll of Honor. I am so glad to find the message. I had 2 great uncles who died in the war. I do not know where either is buried. I tracked down one through a library local library which sent me a copy of those pages from the Roll of Honor. And ever since I have been trying to figure out where to get a copy of the Roll of Honor. So would you see if you can find Hartson F.Thomas, private, Co. K, 23rd Vol. Infrantry, Wisconsin. He died April 4, 1863 at Milliken's Bend, LA, after having been discharged the day before. Why they did that, I do not know. He died of the chronic diarrhea. His brother John W. Thomas is in the roll of honor with an unknown burial site. I suspect that Hartson, if he is in the list (having been discharged, he maya not be???), is also probably in an unknown spot. I'll be most grateful for you search. No rush for this midst the Christmas rush. And happy holidays to you. Pat Smith Brooklyn, NY
