On Mar 2, a question was raised as to whether Owen THOMAS had ever lived in Penn. Knowing that I had a trip scheduled in May for a weeks research in the Salt Lake Library, I decided to "tackle" this problem. On 20 May 1784, Owen THOMAS sold the 300 Acres to George GUNS of Antitum Settlement, MD for 145 pds. LDS film #0,861,081 Fayette Co., PA Index of Surveys and Warrants p.161 William HARDIN, Warrantee - Name of tract: "Rich Discovery", 311 1/2 Acres (Located in Cumberland Co., PA at time of survey) When I found the location of this land on the survey map, William HARDIN's survey is written as William HARVEY.
