Hello THOMAS researchers, I am researching the COLLETT surname and I found the following info in South Carolina records (Abstracts of Records of Secretary of the Province 1692 - 1721 by Caroline T. Moore, GRS): "We, John COLLET, John SKEECH, Abraham POPE, Francis FIDLING and John THOMAS, are bound unto Hon. Joseph BLAKE, Esq., Propr. and Gov., for sum of 2,000 stg [pound sterling]. D: 6 June 1700. CONDITION of OBLIGATION: John COLLETT, John SKEECH, and Abraham POPE, admins. of estate of William MORRIS, late of this Province, dec., made inventory of said estate by 3 free-holders to Office of Sec. within 90 days after date hereof according to ... Wit: Henry WIGINGTON." If this is a repetition of information previously posted, please pardon the duplication. If any of you know whether or not these individuals were related in any way, I would appreciate the information. We have not found names of John COLLETT's family members.
