Hi, I'm looking for the parents of John Newton Thomas, born April 1846 in Wayne County, IL. He served in the Union Army for his second cousin Joshua Pennington. He married Emily E. Shelton March 3, 1865 in Wayne County, IL. And they had 8 children. They later moved to Washington County, AR, then to Cleveland County, OKlahoma where he is buried.
