I have been searching for prooof of the parentage and spouse of Enos Thomas, b. abt. 1756 in Fayette or Washington Co., PA since I began my genealogy addiction. It is like chasing the proverbial smoke. I have seen many places where he is said to be the son of Owen Thomas and Mary Polly Hardin Thomas, but only see it as second hand info, can never find the true source of the parentage. He was supposedly the father of Enos Thomas, Joseph Burgess Thomas, and possibly a Hardin Thomas and a Henry Thomas. Children born around 1800-1803. Enos shows up in the Grayson County Ky census for several decades, then disappears. May have gone to Indiana. Spouse may have been Mary Kingston, m. 12-12-1789 in Nelson Co., Ky. I have suspected that Enos may be the middle name, as the family commonly switched to their middle names. So I may be looking for a __________ Enos Thomas. Anyone with any info at all, please write.
