Private Zenas Thomas, 4th Iowa Calvary died in Batesville, AR (age 17) of typhoid fever. We would like to know WHERE he is buried. I have written to the National Cemeteries at Ft. Smith, Chattanooga and to the Director of Cemeteries in Washignton DC and am waiting for someone to answer. If anyone can be of assistance, my family would be greatly appreciative.
