I have just begun to research my husband's family. Michael Thomas b Dec 25, 1799 VA is his GrGrandfather. Michael married Esther Coffman Mar 24, 1846. They had children: Daniel b 1848, Jacob b 1849, Michael, Jr. 1851, David b1854, Elizabeth b March 11, 1856 MD, Johannes (John) b 1860. Elizabeth Thomas married Daniel William Gates, my husband's Grandfather. Am trying to find who Michael Thomas' parent are. Most of his family stayed in the WV/MD area. Any clues would be appreciated.
